Qamati threatens the government with public protests that could bring it down

Deputy head of the political council of Hezbollah, Mahmoud Qamati, said in a statement that the party is not currently seeking to change the government, arguing that it may bring itself down through its own performance.

Qamati added that after what he described as a “victory,” the state would face two options: either apologize to the people and reverse its decisions against Hezbollah, or face peaceful public protests that could lead to its downfall.
