Berri calls for joint Parliamentary Committee session on Thursday

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri called the joint committees of Finance and Budget, Administration and Justice, Defense, Interior, Foreign Affairs, Economy, Trade and Industr, and Telecommunications to a joint session at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 23, 2026, to discuss the following agenda:
- The draft law under Decree No. 1834 authorizing the Lebanese government to sign an agreement between the Lebanese Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany regarding the establishment of local offices for the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
- The draft law under Decree No. 2420 seeking approval to conclude an agreement between the Lebanese Republic and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the establishment of a resident representative office for the IMF.
- The draft media law.
- A draft law granting a general amnesty and exceptionally reducing certain penalties.
