Makki stresses urgent need for comprehensive ceasefire

Administrative Development Minister Fadi Makki stressed, following his meeting with President Joseph Aoun at Baabda Palace, the "utmost importance" of consolidating and expanding the ceasefire to ensure it is comprehensive and complete.
Makki said the ceasefire must entail a full halt to all hostilities without exception, including the destruction of homes in border villages, noting that a permanent ceasefire is essential to launching negotiations, protecting civilians and reinforcing stability.
