Sheikh Akl meets Defense Minister, reaffirms support for state institutions

Druze spiritual leader Sami Abi Al-Mona received Defense Minister Michel Menassa, with whom discussions focused on ongoing Israeli attacks and national developments.
Abi Al-Mona stressed the need to preserve unity, support state institutions, particularly the Lebanese Army, and safeguard civil peace, warning against any threats to internal stability.
For his part, Menassa reaffirmed commitment to national unity, exclusive state control of arms, and efforts to end the war, saying negotiations aim for "peace, not surrender."
Separately, Abi Al-Mona held calls with Maronite Patriarch, Bechara Boutros Rahi, Grand Mufti Abdel Latif Derian, and Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, and extended condolences to Civil Defense personnel.
