Poland denounces ‘ongoing disintegration’ of NATO

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has decried the “ongoing disintegration of our alliance” during the burgeoning rift within NATO over the US-Israeli war on Iran.

“The greatest threat to the transatlantic community are not its external enemies but the ongoing disintegration of our alliance. We must all do what it takes to reverse this disastrous trend,” Tusk wrote.

Trump also voiced displeasure with Italy and Spain and said he “probably will” pull US forces out of these countries. He said when the US “needed them they were not there”, alluding to his war on Iran. “We have to remember that.”

Four weeks since the United States and Israel suspended their bombing campaign against Iran, no deal has been reached to end a war that has caused the biggest disruption ever to global energy supplies.
