Choucair visits Iraq to discuss bilateral cooperation

General Security director-general Major General Hassan Choucair visited Iraq, where he met Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries across several sectors.
According to Lebanon’s General Security media office, Choucair thanked Iraq for its humanitarian and supportive stance toward Lebanon, while al-Zaidi pledged continued cooperation and promised to visit Lebanon soon.
Choucair also met former Iraqi prime minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and thanked him for Iraq’s assistance and supportive positions toward Lebanon during the previous period.
