Israeli Army Says It Targeted Two Armed Men Near Lebanon Border

Israeli army spokesperson Ella Wawiya announced targeting two armed individuals near the border with Israel in southern Lebanon.
In a post on X, Wawiya said: “Israeli army surveillance units detected suspicious movement by two armed individuals a few hundred meters from the border with Israel in southern Lebanon.”
She added: “Upon identifying them, and while forces continued to monitor the situation, we carried out an airstrike targeting the gunmen.”
Wawiya further stated that search operations were launched in the area and that “no indications of additional suspects were found.”
She concluded: “We remain in continuous contact with the nearby communities and will provide updates on any developments.”
