U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stressed that the Strait of Hormuz “must remain open by any means necessary,” referring to the U.S. strikes that targeted Iran yesterday.
Rubio told reporters aboard his plane in the Indian city of Jaipur: “The straits must remain open, and they will remain open by any means necessary, so they should stay open.”
He also confirmed that negotiations on drafting an agreement with Iran could “take a few days.”
