Diplomatic Pressure From China: End the War

5/27/2026 9:06:05 AM

China has called on the United States and Iran to continue rapprochement and make mutual concessions in order to stabilize the fragile ceasefire in the Middle East and bring an end to the war.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that Beijing hopes “the concerned parties will meet halfway,” expressing China’s support for ongoing diplomatic efforts and mediation, particularly those led by Pakistan.

Wang added, in remarks made at the United Nations Security Council, that China continues to coordinate with the main parties involved in the crisis, stressing the need to respect the truce and work toward restoring stability in the region.

The minister’s comments came at a time when Tehran accused Washington of violating the ceasefire, following US strikes that targeted missile sites and Iranian boats in the south of the country.
