Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned the US "violations" of the ceasefire following overnight US airstrikes on Bandar Abbas in southern Iran, according to AFP.
Iran also expressed its "solidarity" with "friendly" Oman after US President Donald Trump threatened to "blow it up" if it sided with Iran on the Strait of Hormuz.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Iran "will take all necessary measures to defend its national sovereignty," criticizing "the threatening rhetoric issued by US officials against Iran and a number of countries in the region."
