Berri: Trump Can Secure Ceasefire, Hezbollah Open to Ending Hostilities

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said US President Donald Trump is the only person capable of securing a genuine ceasefire and ensuring Israel’s compliance with it, according to remarks reported by The New York Times and cited by Russian media.
Berri stressed that Hezbollah remains open to a real ceasefire, adding that the immediate priority is ending hostilities regardless of whether any agreement is linked to Iran or negotiated separately.
He also criticized ongoing Israeli military operations, saying Israel seeks negotiations while continuing its bombardment campaign, a situation that is imposing a heavy cost on Lebanon.
