Photos: The army mourns its three martyrs

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation mourns Colonel Martyr Wissam Sabra, Captain Martyr Elie Khoury, and Soldier Martyr Hussein Abdul Ali Ghazal, who were killed on 6/6/2026 as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting them on the Khardali–Kfar Tebnit road (Nabatieh).
The following is a brief biography of each:
Colonel Martyr Wissam Sabra
Born on 19/8/1972 in Beirut.
Enlisted in the army as an officer cadet on 4/1/1993 and was promoted up to the rank of colonel as of 1/1/2024.
Received multiple commendations and congratulations from the Army Commander.
Completed several training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
Marital status: married, with three children.

Captain Martyr Elie Khoury
Born on 4/10/1994 in Kfar Jarra – Jezzine.
Enlisted as an officer cadet on 12/11/2012 and was promoted up to captain as of 1/7/2023.
Received multiple commendations and congratulations from the Army Commander.
Completed several training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
Marital status: married, with one child.

Soldier Martyr Hussein Abdel Ali Ghazal
Born on 3/10/2003 in Arnoun – Nabatieh.
Enlisted in the army as a soldier on 3/7/2022.
Marital status: single.
