Hezbollah Political Council Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Qomati said the Lebanon-Israel agreement was "dead on arrival," arguing that it is impossible to implement and insisting the group would not allow it to be enforced.
Qomati said Hezbollah does not believe the agreement warrants public protests, stressing: "We will not organize mass demonstrations, nor do we want to create any tensions inside Lebanon. We also have no intention of resigning from the government at this stage."
He added that Hezbollah continues to place its hopes on the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran, arguing that Tehran has sufficient leverage to pressure Washington into compelling Israel to withdraw.
