Iran’s Health Ministry announced that at least 14 people were killed and 78 others injured over the past two days as a result of US airstrikes.
The ministry’s Public Relations Center chief, Hossein Kermanpour, said in a post on X that “during the ceasefire, the United States targeted five Iranian provinces,” adding that “the attacks have so far resulted in 14 deaths and 78 injuries, with 47 of the wounded still receiving treatment in hospitals.”
The escalation came after attacks targeted three commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Washington said the US strikes were carried out in response, while Tehran has not claimed responsibility for those attacks.
