US President Donald Trump quickly intervened during a speech in Nevada after noticing a young child moving toward the edge of the stage. Trump rushed over, grabbed the child, and guided him back to the center of the platform, drawing applause from the audience.
The moment occurred after Trump invited a young couple from Las Vegas to join him on stage with their two children to discuss how they had benefited from his administration’s policies, including tax exemptions on tips and overtime pay, as well as the “Trump Accounts” program designed for children.
According to the New York Post, the child suddenly walked toward the edge of the stage while his mother was speaking, prompting Trump to notice and quickly move to bring him back to a safe area.
After returning the child, Trump joked with the audience: “I don’t want him to be like Biden and fall off the stage,” referring to former President Joe Biden’s fall at the US Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in 2023.
The remark drew laughter and applause from those in attendance, while Trump resumed his speech after making sure the child was safe.
At the end of his mother’s remarks, she lifted the child and asked him to say a few words to the president. The child took the microphone and said: “Thank you for my Trump Account,” prompting more applause from the audience. Trump smiled and replied: “Good job.”
