Iran, North Korea and Syria block UN arms treaty

On the last day of the UN Arms Trade Treaty conference, Iran, North Korea and SYria have decided to block adoption of UN arms treaty.

Following  Iranian and North Korean protests, the conference Chairman Peter Woolcott ordered a break. Later on, representatives of the three countries declared their refusal to the treaty.

The treaty on arms trade needs to garner support from all 193 UN member states to grant its adoption.
