A Suicide and Natural Cause of Death Stopped Koh-Lanta

A reality TV turned into double misery.
Koh-Lanta is the French version of "Survivor" broadcasted by France's Channel TF1, which immediately canceled the show following a contestant's death.
After the first misery, the staff physician was accused of delaying his intervention, when the French contestant Gerald Babin suffered of a heart attack during rehearsals.
The doctor, Thierry Costa, has killed himself in Cambodia, saying in a suicide note the media lately "sullied" his name.
In a handwritten letter, Costa described how he was affected by the media coverage following the death of one of the program's contestants. Costa wrote that he was "sure of having treated Gerald in a respectable way".
Despite the fact that Cambodian authorities declared Babin died of natural causes, French authorities have launched their own investigation into his cause of death.
The contestant’s death in March 22 caused to cancel the show and to open an investigation, while the French media is expecting to stop the show for good after the two recent incidents.
