Pope appoints two Maronite Bishops for Australian, Argentinean dioceses

The press bureau of the Maronite Patriarchate said in a statement released on Wednesday, that Pope Francis appointed Father Antoine Tarabay of the Lebanese Maronite congregation, as bishop of the Maronite Diocese of Sydney- Australia to succeed Archbishop Abi Aad Karam.
The statement also said the Pope, in the same context, named Father Habib Chamieh of the Maronite Mariamite order, as vicar Apostolic of the Saint Charbel diocese in Argentina, to succeed Archbishop Charbel Merhi.
