Gemayel: Dahiye incident is the normal result of the ongoing intervention in Syria

Lebanese Kataeb party leader Amine Gemayel condemned the firing of two rockets against Beirut's southern suburbs, saying the incident reflects a "dangerous signal that requires awarness from all in order to prevent dragging Lebanon into sedition".

Gemayel said the incident proves what the Lebanese Kataeb had warned of in terms of the dangers entailed by the involvement in the Syrian conflict.

"The rocket attack on Dahiyeh is the normal result of the ongoing intervention in Syria", Gemayel said in a statement issued on Sunday.

The Kataeb leader urged officials to prioritize Lebanon's interest and stay clear of 'lunatic bids'.
