The commands of Hezbollah and AMAL, along with the lawmakers of the Baalbek-Hermel region, accused some "hired killers" of standing behind "the crime" which claimed the lives of four men earlier on Sunday.

The assault aims at "stirring strife in the region under factitious slogans and pretexts," a statement said.

The statement condoled the "families of the aggrieved victims who were killed in a heinous, malicious crime" which falls within the framework of a string of assaults perpetrated by some "hired" killers.

The statement urged citizens not to get dragged into retaliation, holding the Lebanese state accountable for the growing sedition and calling it to assume its responsibilities by apprehending the murderers and bringing them to justice.
