Number of injured in Martyrs Square triggered by fireworks

Four people caught bruises resulting from fireworks erupted in the Martyrs Square of Beirut as celebrations on the Lebanese Army 68th anniversary were prevailing.
Information obtained by MTV that three people were wounded and transferred by ambulances to American University Hospital, among them one man identified as Ibrahim Mohamad Farhat who is in serious condition.
A fourth injured was transferred to Geitaoui hospital where he entered the bruises treatment unit.
Military experts who investigated the incident said that a box containing fireworks may have been accidentally set on fire, causing the explosion.
Several cars went up in flames; however firefighter teams from the Civil Defense worked on extinguishing the fire at the scene, limiting the number of the damaged vehicles.
