Mansour informed about the kidnapping of Lebanese national in Angola

The Lebanese Chargé D'affaires in Pretoria, South Africa, Ara Khachaturian informed caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour that a 22-year-old Lebanese national identified as Mouin Azmi Yazbeck has been kidnapped in the Angolan capital of Luanda and the abductors are demanding a $2 million ransom.

As Khachaturian told Mansour that abductions of Lebanese nationals have recently increased in Angola, the minister asked the Lebanese Chargé D'affaires to maintain contacts with Angolan authorities and take the necessary measures to grant the release of Yazbeck.

Another Lebanese national, identified as Bilal Koteish, has also been reportedly kidnapped along with Yazbeck. The Foreign Ministry is investigating to confirm if such reports are accurate.
