Masked men, clashes in Attariq al-Jadida

As if celebrations are banned in Lebanon!
This time, it was the turn of Attariq al-Jadida where masked and unknown men scuffled with groups linked to Hezbollah in Arrifai Street, al-Makassed region. Scuffle then turned into a fight since gunfire shots were launched but no casualties were reported.
“Masked men besieged house of one of Hezbollah allies’ leaders, Lebanese Abou Ali, belonging to Serail al-Moukawama”, mtv correspondent reported. Abou Ali was present armed in al-Amin mosque to keep safe Mufti Mohammed Rashid Qabbani.
Only material damages were recorded from clashes. Army took control of the region and arrested Abou Ali for probes.
Furthermore, Army Command - Orientation Directorate issued the following statement:
"At 9.15 this morning, a clash erupted between armed men near Makassed Hospital in Tariq al-Jdida, marked by the exchange of fire from light weapons, without any injuries recorded. Immediately an army unit attended the scene, cordoned off the area and arrested three suspects.
Army continues to hunt all involved in the incident to arrest them and bring situation back to normal.
