Al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc member, MP Ghazi Yusuf, Tuesday wondered how the Lebanese judiciary would release the abductors of the two Turkish pilots, slamming this act for it would only encourage similar kidnapping operations to take place in the future.
"This also teaches us a lesson about the absence of a potent Lebanese state, and unfortunately proves that our country is under the rule of the jungle," he said.
As for Tripoli's escalating tension, the lawmaker called on the caretaker cabinet to take serious action and authorities to ensure security and stability in the northern city.
"There's an existing but chronic problem which suggests the existence of an armed group which is linked to foreign dictates and wishes to flare up the situation in Tripoli," Yusuf added.
