Fire kills 8 at Ukraine's jewelry plant

A fire engulfed a jewelry plant in eastern Ukraine on Wednesday, leaving at least eight people dead and seven others injured, the Ukrainian State Service for Emergencies said.
Authorities said over 30 people were working inside when the fire broke out around noon at the Khartron plant in the eastern city of Kharkov.
More than 20 workers managed to escape from the plant, and the blaze was extinguished less than three hours later.
Authorities said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
