Syria has been overwhelming by contradictions lately.
Following the truce between Syrian regime fighters and the rebels in the southern suburb of Babila town, Damascus, the capital is readying for a large attack led by rebels backed by fighting groups trained in Jordan. Syrian regime forces kicked off their redeployment and intensified their shelling against the rebels HQs, as anticipation for the attack.
On Jordanian-Syrian borders the smuggling across the border with Syria has risen, Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that the border guards arrested infiltrators who were attempting to cross the borders fleeing Syria.
On the humanitarian side, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported three deaths at the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp in southern Damascus and another four in the eastern Ghouta suburb between Monday and Tuesday.
On the other hand, U.N. children's agency said on Tuesday that Syria must free dozens of children held in an interrogation center after they were evacuated from rebel-held parts of the city of Homs.
"As of today, there are 56 children at the facility, including 34 boys between (ages) 15 and 18, 10 boys under 15, and 12 girls below 18," said the spokeswoman for UNICEF.
