Your money or your life: Antoun's kidnappers blackmail al-Qaii

2/21/2014 9:00:27 PM

Citizen Kamel al-Qaii received Tuesday a phone call, from a well-known number; threatening him to pay $1 million otherwise he will be killed.

The caller identified himself as the kidnapper of Julien Antoun, who was released back in February 8 in Bekaa.

One month ago, a girl named Christina contacted Peter, Kamel's son, on whatsapp and attempted to lure him to the location where Julien was captured. However Peter did not respond.

Qaii family are living in daily fear, their security is missing in a country where the whole security situation is shaking.

Peter has the right to be protected by security apparatuses for not facing the same fate as Julien Antoun.

The kidnappers are watching the whole family closely; they know every single detail about the members.

Is it fair to let innocent citizens face a destiny planned by gangs and armed militias?

Amid the lack of security, Qaii family run to saints and Divine Providence as the only saviors.
