Al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc renewed on Thursday its call for introducing the Baabda Declaration into the Cabinet's policy statement, slamming Hezbollah's "arrogant" rhetoric against President Michel Sleiman.

In a statement issued following its weekly meeting, the bloc noted that the constitution stipulates the president's right to make a patriotic stance, adding that those have different viewpoints should have responded by making a political statement, rather than attacking the head of state and waging media campaigns against him.

The bloc slammed "false assumptions" claiming that the March 14 camp was objecting to mentioning the concept of resistance against the Israeli enemy.

It also accused the rival camp of seeking to legitimize the use of weapons from outside the Lebanese state's commandship, stressing that such thing 'cannot be tolerated'.

Al-Mustaqbal bloc emphasized the need to draft a ministerial manifesto that meets the people's aspirations and enables the government to start working in the interest of the Lebanese.

The lawmakers praised President Sleiman's role in the International Support Group for Lebanon meeting that took place in Paris on Wednesday, hoping that the pledged assistance
would take practical and financial measures.
