Israel slams Ashton’s visit to Theran

A senior Israeli official slammed EU Foreign Minister, Catherin Ashton’s visit to Tehran just days following the interception of the Iranian ship transporting arms and ammunition to Gaza.

Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz expected Ashton to “cancel or at least postpone her visit to Tehran.”

A senior Israeli official, close to Israeli Premier viewed the Iranian attempt to transport arms and ammunition as a blatant violation of the UN charter; accusations strictly denied by Tehran.

“Heading to Iran as though nothing had happened is something to be avoided,” Steinitz added.
