Oghassapian: Suleiman's term extension is out of question

Future bloc MP Jean Oghassapian said Tuesday that President Michel Suleiman totally rejects extending his own mandate, pointing out that Suleiman wishes to hand over the presidency seat to the upcoming president before May 25.

"March 14 forces are clinging to holding the presidential polls and believes that the president is the top sponsor of the dialogue between Lebanese factions," the lawmaker stated in radio interview.

Commenting on tomorrow's session at the Parliament, Oghassapian stressed that it will be the same as the previous ones since there are no changes in alliances, parliamentary weights or votes distribution.

"We are keen on maintaining consensus, cooperation and agreement with all our allies regarding the presidential elections dossier," he concluded.
