Report: U.S. shooting kills seven

Seven people have been killed and seven others wounded in a mass shooting in a small college town in southern California, U.S. media reported Saturday.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff described the shooting in the town of Isla Vista, near the University of California campus, as "a mass murder by a gunman," CNN reported.

The gunman, who was driving a black vehicle and shot at pedestrians in several spots in the town, is among the victims, police told local media.
