Bassil summons Bengali ambassador to inquire about worker's detention

Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil summoned Bangladesh’s ambassador to Lebanon to inquire about reports claiming that a Bengali worker has been detained inside the embassy’s premises.

In a statement issue by Bassil’s press office,reports suggested that a number of Bengali citizens had gathered outside the embassy to protest the laborer's detention.

Bassil ordered the Foreign Ministry to confirm the story and take the necessary measures while abiding by the diplomatic norms.
