Youssef and Jarrah: Minister of Finance breached the law

In a joint press conference at the press room of the Parliament, Future bloc MPs Ghazi Youssef and Jamal al-Jarrah, tackled Friday the current general financial situation saying that both are looking forward to have a financial budget for 2014 in order to rectify financial work and to subject accounts to the court of audit, starting from 2005 accounts to 2014.

The deputies' highlighted also the newest financial issue related to giving employees their salaries through legal means.

"Minister of Finance Ali Hassan Khalil breached the law once when he dismissed amount allocated to the salaries and he is now refraining from violating it again for the sake of the employees, who shall earn their salaries by next week that falls with Eid al-Fitr," Youssef said.

In his turn, Jarrah pointed out that "we are looking forward to have a financial budget for 2014 so as to rectify financial work."

"Why seeking partial solutions? Settlement of cost of living is considered as a partial solution for the pay hike," Jarrah noted.

"Future Movement senses an obstruction of approving the pay hike," Jarrah concluded.
