Political leaders and security agencies obtained security information depicted as "concerning", amid the political void Lebanon is passing through as a result of the presidential vacuum.
Sources following up on the security situation say that they possess a bunch of information that deviated from its normal path.
First of all, extremist parties decided to move their battles to Lebanon but since Lebanon is not the right place for "jihad", cells tasked to conduct such act were dismantled, while security agencies are still searching for other cells.
Decision to fight Hizbullah Party on Lebanese territories was taken by extremists and some of Syrian opposition forces. That's to distract the party from the Syrian war which is likely going to aggravate opposing to reports close from regime.
Second, Iraq’s developments are heavily affecting Lebanon. Expansion of extremist groups is now noticed in parallel with information obtained by security forces confirming that a large-scale operation is plotted by such groups. They monitored contacts highlighting huge amounts of money in return of security acts.
Third, intermediates are closely watching the security flow in Lebanon and noticing that Hizbullah is aware of all updates. The party, in its turn, is readying for military acts in many regions to face the upcoming challenges. Its movement last week in northern Bekaa came within the framework of facing a potential act.
It is worth knowing that the party is extremely concerned over the updates at the southern borders because they will make it impose new formulas and change its current strategy which is focusing on supporting the Syrian regime.
