Jumblat meets Yared: Qualifications at the base of dean appointments

Progressive Socialist Party Leader Walid Jumblat held talks with the newly appointed Lebanese University Medical School Dean Pierre Yared who hailed Jumblat’s stance aiming at averting the University from political and secular tag wars.

Following the meeting, Jumblat noted that the initial plan was to use qualifications as a standard for the appointments, adding that some local rivals have sadly resorted to political standards instead.
