Obscure Faces Mirror Obscure Lebanese Reality

A ministerial source informed MTV website of the dark faces as witnessed within the walls of the Grand Serail Monday. Said source openly noted the surprising obscure prospect as faced by the Lebanese Armed Forces and Arsal's pitched battle, as opposed to the Nahr el-Bared clashes a few years back.

Gunmen in Arsal have proven to be trained and backed on both the military and logistic levels, he argues.

The Minister noted that the battle is unlikely to be clenched soon, warning against the pernicious upshots encompassing an uptick in LAF losses. The presence of 120,000 Syrian refugees in Arsal could run the danger of being recruited by the mobs, the source added.

The call for equipping the army featured high during the cabinet session, namely Hezbollah's minister; a stance that only could be considered as confessing that the military is the sole and required entity able to end internal clashes, as Hezbollah's intervention could only incite sectarian strife in numerous Lebanese regions.

Prime Minister Tammam Salam was keen on reading out his statement during Monday's extraordinary session. Ministers unanimously voiced unfaltering trust in the PM's statement-content, refusing to listen to it beforehand. With the mobilization of all official institutions and security apparatuses to "defend our country, ward off all safety-meddling attempts and support the LAF," at the forefront, the statement was delivered as the premier called on France to hastily deliver the arms and ammunition as per the Saudi $3 billion donation.

Moreover, the Prime Minister tackled the army's ability to fully face threats as well as speedy fresh-supplies to the LAF. Discussions had a penchant to consider a political solution that would end all military operations. Despite the confidentiality of all decisions, the conflict will be firmly treated so as to avoid a ceasefire at the expense of the LAF, ISF, residents or Lebanese sovereignty. Prime Minister Tammam Salam is scheduled to held contacts on the diplomatic fronts so as to come up with a way out. Yet, data divulge the tedious nature of the talks as the Lebanese public opinion will not allow any LAF-related setback.

Lebanese Kataeb party ministers called for widening the implementation framework of the 1701 resolution. However, such a suggestion was deemed as unnecessary with Hezbollah and Amal ministers clarifying that the issuance of said resolution came in a different setting.
