Foreign Minister Gibran Bassil met Wednesday during his visit in Amman, with his Jordanian counterpart, Nasser Joudeh, over a batch of affairs of common interests, in addition to an array of common challenges that concern both Lebanon and Jordan.

For his part, Bassil corroborated that fraternal and friendly ties linked Lebanon and Jordan, adding that the two countries faced joint challenges and dangers.

Bassil cited the Palestinian Cause whereby he indicated that he tackled with Joudeh the fears of implantation and of the solutions that might come at the expense of Lebanon and Jordan.

He also broached the Syrian crisis and its reverberations, stressing that refugees must return to their home because their presence in Lebanon was provisional. "The alternative to this people's tragedy will not be their integration in the Lebanese society," he underlined.

The Minister did not fail to highlight the necessity of a regional coordination, especially between Lebanon and Syria, amid growing ISIS and terrorism, in order that security should be preserved.
