Amal calls for providing full political cover to Army

Amal Movement on Wednesday stressed the need to provide real and full political cover for the Lebanese army so as to enable it to assume its mission in warding off strife and curbing the injustice imposed by the Takfiri terrorism.

During an urgent meeting held earlier today, the movement called for activating of the state institutions' work and hold presidential and parliamentary polls as soon as possible.

"Facing terrorism, hostility, and displacement is a joint national responsibility," the Movement considered.

Amal also condemned the tit-for-tat kidnappings and roads blocking, urging the Lebanese to work on shirking strife and outlining the necessity to combat rampant extremism.
