Patriarch al-Raii: Political and sectarian divisions violate the Constitution

Maronite Patriarch Mar Beshara Boutros al-Raii said Sunday that the haughty policy and political and sectarian sharp divisions are considered as a blatant violation of the Lebanese constitution and they are hindering the presidential elections.

In a Mass, al-Raii opined that the deputies are not aware that the president represents the unity of the country and his absence leads to chaos and corruption.

"Before the state's higher interest, all personal interests are down," al-Raii concluded.
