Nusra Front Threatens to Execute Lebanese Soldier

The Nusra Front released a statement, threatening to execute one of the kidnapped Lebanese troops at 10 a.m. Sunday.

In the statement, the Front warned the Lebanese Army of any military escalation against the Sunnis in Tripoli, demanding that they break the cordon off the trapped militants and proceed with a peaceful solution.

"If these terms aren't met, we will have to begin finalizing the captive troops' case given that they are prisoners of war," the statement read, adding that at that point, all sects will pay for taking part in the Lebanese Army's war at the side of Iranian Hezbollah.
