Sweden will not be opening an embassy in Ramallah

Sweden, the first major EU nation to recognize Palestine as a state, stated Monday that it will not be opening an Embassy in Ramallah.

"Nobody has opened an embassy in Ramallah, and we think that this can be managed by the consulate in Jerusalem, which is a satisfactory solution for us," Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstroem told public radio.
