Lebanon’s Grand Mufti says Saudi Arabia represents moderation

Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan stressed that Saudi Arabia represents moderation, balance, and wisdom in the Arab and Islamic world, adding that the Gulf country was the first to reject extremism.

“Saudi Arabia is a sister-country and it has done great things for Lebanon which the people cannot forget,” Deryan said during a meeting with General Secretary of the Muslim World League Abdallah Ben Abdel Mohsen At-Turki.

He also underscored the importance of continuous cooperation between the Muslim World League and Lebanon’s Dar al-Fatwa in accordance with the best interest of Islam and Muslims.
