Berri approves Aoun’s request

Speaker Nabih Berri told his visitors that he believes the 15th presidential vote session will face the same fate as its predecessors, noting that any serious developments have yet to take place regarding the election of a new head of state.

Berri noted that Change and Reform MP Alain Aoun had handed him Monday a letter by FPM Chief Michel Aoun requesting an elaboration of the constitution’s 24th article, adding that he will be holding deliberations with different parliamentary blocs because this particular type of session requires a two-third quorum.
