French ambassador: France plots to protect Lebanon

France's ambassador to Lebanon Patrice Paoli denied Friday reports saying that his country is drafting a resolution in UN Security Council against Hezbollah Party.

In an interview with Annahar daily, the envoy reiterated France's keenness on Lebanon's stability and sovereignty, not to mention its constant call for abiding by 1701 UN resolution.

"There is no scheme against any party, we are involved in a "conspiracy" to protect Lebanon and maintain its security," Paoli added.
