Aoun to al-Akhbar: Reaching power isn’t our aim

Free Patriotic Movement Chief Michel Aoun noted that his duties are set by the people’s political choices and the size of his following, adding that anyone in his position must work until he politically dies and his loss would be completely forgivable.

“I have reached the stage of disgust, but I take nausea pills,” he said, adding that he we won’t compromise in exchange for rapprochement with Former PM Saad Hariri and LF Chief Samir Geagea.

Aoun told al-Akhbar newspaper published Tuesday that reaching power isn’t his aim but a mean to achieve the goals towards which he aspires.
