Tripoli events, which lead to the death of notorious fugitives Osama Mansour and Ahmad Nazer, as well as the arrest of the Sheikh Hoblos and accomplice Amir Kurdi, drew the security file to the forefront again.

A security source told al-Joumhouria newspaper that the clean-cut security operation pulled off in Tripoli was long- awaited, in anticipation of great findings in regard with Mansour’s executive devices for plotting security attacks.

“The greatest achievement of the said operation is that it dismissed, once and for all, all accusations and tales rumored about the involvement of military leaderships in Mansour and al-Moulawi’s escape."

The aforementioned source expects an apology from all who spearheaded such rumors, stressing that security plans, covering Tripoli, Akkar and the north, have been implemented to ward off any attempts at sabotaging peace in the area.

“The security plan broke down for good the front lines between Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tibbaneh, and with it the longstanding curse on the army,” he added, advising breeders of sectarian turmoil to amend their destructive plans.

“Felons, now in custody, are to be referred to relevant judiciary,” he conclude, hailing the unprecedented coordination between the military and security institutions for their clever stratagem.
