Berri: I will Defend The Government With All My Might

Visitors of Ain El Tineh quoted Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, as saying that he will defend the government with all his might.
“I catered to the Maronite obstructive stance and didn’t call for legislative sessions although we had secured a quorum; I didn’t raise the bar lest I would be portrayed as if defending the institution which I am chairing but I will be the first to defend the government,” he said in remarks published in Al-Joumhouria newspaper.
Addressing Arsal's case, Berri assured that the dossier is being treated and that the armed forces have taken up security measures in some of its areas.
“The army is the sole guarantor of Arsal’s stability; as to its outskirts, I say that if one inch of Lebanese territories falls under occupation, the government, the army, and the resistance possess full right to liberate it,” he added, reiterating his support to the resistance in face of any invader.
