Newborn Baby Found in a Cardboard Box

A week-old newborn tossed into a carton box is not an easy sight, it plucks at your heartstrings.

Security forces were contacted once the girl was discovered in al-Brad neighborhood in Sidon. They transferred her to Sidon state-owned hospital where she was placed in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The child received the necessary tests and is reportedly doing well.

Investigations opened so as to uncover the true identity of her parents and the reasons that drove them to dispense of her.
