Salam Reaches Out for Wael Kfoury's Help

Prime Minister Tamam Salam has only one option left: Call for Wael Kfoury’s help.

He’s grown tired of the ministers’ conduct and the political forces they represent. He is seriously considering stepping down, but up to this moment, he’s being patient and empathetic.

At the start of the Cabinet session, he took a moment to apologize to the Lebanese people over the last session’s scene.

According to Salam, the behavior razed all codes of conduct and reflected an undesirable image of the Cabinet.

Salam confesses and apologized but on behalf of others, Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil to be more precise, he who had initiated the debate with Salam as the Prime’s circles said.

However, Salam was forgiving and called the dispute “the page I turned,” citing Wael Kfoury’s song title, thus enabling him to save face and prevent the government from a freefall.

Indeed, Salam has succeeded in averting one catastrophe but nothing has changed; the country is still ricocheting from one tonsorial disaster to another.

Perhaps the day will come when Salam would be able to finish Wael’s song and says to the government: “I am tired and can no longer sacrifice for you, you who’s never willing to grant us a safe moment.”
