The weekend protests at Riad al-Solh square featured countless banners, raised by civilians and You Stink activists.

The majority of the banners reflected the participants' resolve to shield the protest from any political or sectarian undertones. Protesters carried the Lebanese flag, as well as banners with deriding slogans,  condemning ferociously the political governing class without discrimination.

The raised banners included slogans such as:

-To each minister who claims to side with protesters, first you must resign.

-The government of corruption, oppression and failure.

-You are all cocks but we’re not your trash bin.

-You reek, you disgust us.

-We want a country to breath in, not a trash farm.

Scathing statements were seen scribbled during the protest, but the most striking is the one referencing Lebanese porn star Mia Khalifa.

The banner read: “Mia Khalifa is more honorable than politicians.”
